- Ramatuelle is a short distance away from the infamous Plage de Pampelonne; 5 kilometres of sand, popular with glitterati thanks to it’s champagne swigging hotspots, disco music and topless sunbathing.
- Not far from the Plage de Pampelonne you can take a beautiful walk along the glorious headland. Start from L’Escalet and walk south east of St Tropez and you will find the most beautiful unspoilt beaches and rocky inlets.
- Gassin offers an incredible 360 degree view of the entire peninsular. In this tiny hill village, you can clamber up through the winding streets for a magnificent view over woodland, wine country and the bay – you should be able to see the three Golden Isles (Porquerolles, Port Cros and Levant).
- La Croix Valmer, slightly back from the coast, is a residential town with fine views across the cliffs, a great Sunday market and easy access to the lovely Gigaro beach and stunning coastal conservation area on the Cap Lardier. These golden sand beaches are a world away form the hoi palloi of the Pampelonne beaches.
- The bar and restaurant scene offers a constantly changing vibe in the St Tropez region. Eateries popular one summer are less so the year after, with the opening of newer and sometimes better restaurants. Likewise the bar and club scene moves with the times and new bars are opening up all the time to attract the glitzy and glamorous crowd. Rather than list them all and give away our secrets we would rather let you know in person which the best bars and restaurants are at the time and which ones will best fit your own personal tastes.
