Possibly one of the most famous and historical resorts in the Alps. This medieval town is rich with history and tradition. Not only is it a stunningly pretty town with original and colourful architecture, when the ski area is linked with the surrounding resorts it provides a very impressive ski region.

We recommend a few selected hotels in Kitzbühel, chosen, as always for their excellent reputations, levels of service and high standards of food. As well as their location and ambiance.

Although we don’t have a Kaluma Representative in the resort, we know the town very well and can make special requirements for ski hire, ski guides and instructors and recommend restaurants and bars for you. There will always be a number for you to call 24hrs a day throughout your stay.

Excellent mix of pistes, perfect for all levels of skiers. Off piste is quite extensive as long as the snow is good. Those with a bit of adventure and a guide can find excellent tree lined skiing.

Home of the worlds most famous downhill ski run, the Hahnenkamm, the Streif run back to the village proves tricky at the best of times but is a “must do” for anyone visiting this resort.

Or simply meander the beautiful streets taking in the vibrant atmosphere of this historical town
  • Kitzbühel offers a delightful blend of foods from around the world, all served, presented and cooked by experts. Michelin restaurants share the street with pizzarias, steak houses, Chinese and Thai restaurants. Local cuisine is popular here and many places offer excellent food with their own unique twists.

Apres Ski is famous in Kitzbühel, with live music in town and right off the slopes. People can be found in their ski boots late into the night. Lively bars are seamlessly integrated with exclusive wine bars and street side champagne bars.

  • Ski the Ski Safari from start to finish to get a real sense of adventure and achievement.
  • Rosies Restaurant on the Bichelalm Mountain for an exquisite evening experience. A popular place, this traditional restaurant presents stunning views and a great atmosphere. Rosie will often come out and yodel to her diners (the duck house special, is fantastic)
  • Underneath the Hahnenkam cable car station is a great restaurant and bar, with bells hanging from the ceiling. Everytime someone rings the bell, a tray of schnapps appears. Great fun, until you have to ski the whole home run from top to bottom in the moonlight! An awesome experience.
