“The Spirit of Lyngen” boat will take you across the Fjord to the snow covered shore, at the base of one of the regions 60 peaks. The adventure continues on skins and touring skis, where you will make your way up to one of the summits, offering stunning 360 degree views. Once at the top, having relaxed, recouped and refuelled the real fun begins!
The Norwegian Ski experience:
A typical day will include between 1000 and 1400 metres of climbing, but remember, this is a holiday and touring is best enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Touring on skis does require a decent level of fitness and it is definitely recommended to turn up strong and fit. Previous touring experience is preferred although not essential as we also offer beginner touring courses from the Lodge. Contact us to discuss your fitness requirements.
The Norwegian Ski experience:
- Glaciers, open powder fields, tree lined and forest skiing
- With descents of up to 2kms you can ski in fresh untouched snow, with breath taking views of the Fjord in front of you
- Arriving after a fresh descent to snow covered beaches is something very special and a unique experience you can only enjoy in this part of the world
- Once you have reached the shoreline, the boat is ready and waiting to whisk you to your next fresh powder field or back across the fjord for a well-earned hot tub
- That is, of course, unless you fancy casting a line for a bit of afternoon/evening fishing, catching the freshest of fish for dinner
