Stuben is a hidden gem nestled in the middle of the famous Arlberg ski region. Stuben is a real skiers resort!
With around 12 meters of snow each winter – more than St Anton, Lech and Zűrs – Stuben is the powder capital of the Arlberg and a gateway to some of the best off-piste skiing in the Alps, on slopes that remain untracked and in good condition for long after the last snowfall.
The smallest of the Arlberg resorts, Stuben is a quiet village that prides itself on traditional Austrian hospitality in traditional well kept hotels, wonderful food and great wine. A culinary skiers paradise!

We are delighted to be the first operator to offer Stuben as a destination to the UK market. With a 100% snow guarantee from early December – early May, Stuben provides a playground for those looking for great early fresh snow or the famous late „firn“ snow. In these weeks, it will feel like the slopes are exclusively yours!

Although the Albona mountain has only a handful of marked red and blue runs, the quality of skiing is good with around 1,000m vertical descent of mostly treeless skiing, nice and wide and perfect for beginners and intermediates. For advanced skiers and powder hounds, its the perfect base, with countless off piste runs to neighbouring villages on some of the worlds most famous off piste routes. Being a quieter and smaller resort, the snow stays fresher and the powder lasts longer, making it an ideal get-a-way for those wanting great snow and great skiing.

With a link to the rest of the St Anton ski area, accessible with one lift and one run down and only a 10 minute bus ride from both Lech and Zurs and also Sonnenkopf, another off piste gem, the location is fantastic for the keen skier.

Stuben am Arlberg is small and friendly. It takes no more than 15 minutes to walk the length and breadth of the village and within a few days of your arrival, you’ll start to feel like a local. A handful of hotel bars provide a warm inviting atmosphere with live music often on show throughout the week.
If you’re a party animal wanting endless après ski and night life then Stuben isnt the place for you. Although St Anton is a 15 minute taxi ride away, Stuben enjoys a quieter, more relaxed, almost romantic holiday. Stuben attracts couples, families and groups of ski friends seeking challenging skiing, great food and wine and traditional Austrian hospitality.
